LEARN TO SWIM
We offer the American Red Cross six comprehensive course levels that teachs the particpant how to swim skillfully and safely. Swim Lessons are available to both Children and Adults. |

Level 1 → Introduction to Water Skills
Helps students feel comfortable in the water. |
Level 4 → Stroke Improvement
Develops confidence in the skills learned and begins diving. |
Level 2 → Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Gives students success with fundamental skills. |
Level 5 → Stroke Refinement
Provides further coordination and refinement of strokes and includes turns. |
Level 3 → Stroke Development
Builds on the skills in Level 2 through additional practice. Deep Water Introduction. |
Level 6 → Swimming and Skill Proficency
Menu Options: Personal Water Safety, Lifeguard Readiness, Fitness Swimmer, Fundamentals of Diving. |
PARENTAND CHILD AEROBICS
Two Levels developed for children 6 months to 5 years of age and their parents. Builds swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water.

THERAPEUTIC WATER EXERCISE
Mild exercises in a therapy pool (warm) to help alleviate symptoms of arthritis. Benefits include improved flexibility and range of motion.
WATER AEROBICS
Aerobic exercises performed in the pool with or without floatation devices. Benefits include strengthening and toning muscles with little impact. |

LIFEGUARD TRAINING
An intense training on rescue skills, CPR, first aid, & all water safety procedures. Benefits include receiving certificates for all above mentioned which allows graduates to become employed as a certified lifeguard. |
ALLEGHANY HIGH SCHOOL SWIM TEAM
Operates from November to February under the coaching direction of Ted Orton with the Alleghany Wellness Center as home base for the team. Swim competitions are held within the Northwest Conference. |
